The office is a comfortable, quiet, and secure space in a modern office building in the “Broadway corridor” district of Vancouver. We are the only medical office in the building, and are situated conveniently on the main floor.
Going up and down in a crowded elevator is not an issue and your desire of security and privacy is respected.
Our staff are experienced in customer relations and are willing to listen. Too often medical offices have forgotten this all important aspect of what we do in medicine.
After many years of operating private surgery centres (from 1992), and always meeting the high accreditations of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, in June 2015 Benjamin Gelfant MD decided to concentrate his efforts on doing surgery and taking care of patients.
Surgery is now done at the prestigious Cambie Surgery Centre, which has for many years been in the forefront of private surgical care in BC. The extensive support staff and depth of nursing care “bench strength” makes the surgery experience a pleasure for both the patients and for Benjamin Gelfant MD.
There is overnight care for tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and facelift patients which has always been our routine, and for other surgery if needed or desired. The overnight facilities are a step up, with private rooms and bathrooms.
“An additional positive has been to be frequently operating next to colleagues of mine. At times there will three or four plastic surgeons operating on the same day, and the opportunity to exchange ideas on a casual basis when visiting with each other is a true professional joy,” says Benjamin Gelfant MD.
Smaller surgery such as removal of cysts and moles, minor skin cancers and lipomas done under local anaesthesia are done in the office.
Botulinin toxin (Botox®) and fillers (Juvederm, etc.) injection treatments are under the care of our experienced nurse, Susan Mackenzie, who has been trusted in this role for almost twenty years.
